Established in January 1991 and subsequently re-organized in August 2012, the Sri Lankan Singers Association (SLASA) was formed with the primary objective of uniting all Sri Lankan singers under a common umbrella. Serving as a voluntary organization, SLASA has established a robust and influential presence among singers across Sri Lanka, dedicated to safeguarding the future well-being of its members and their families.

Led by the President and a dedicated team, SLASA operates on an honorary basis, ensuring the organization functions cohesively. All financial resources raised are directed towards the continuous improvement of the association, as well as the execution of special events designed to provide support to singers and their families during challenging circumstances. Additionally, these funds contribute to initiatives aimed at nurturing the artistic talents of the children associated with SLASA members, facilitating their entry into various forms of entertainment.

SLASA extends its comprehensive range of activities and services to members specializing in diverse genres of music, including classical, music theatre, folk, jazz, and rock, fostering an inclusive environment for the enrichment of Sri Lanka's musical landscape.
