While he was born on 17.10.1949, he resides at No. 194/1/H, Rubber watta Junction, Radawana. (Tele No. 0713563140). At present, married to Mrs. Nalanie Dharmawardana – Nursing Sister of the Health Department. While he has three male children, younger two are twins. Their names are Sanjeewa Dharmawardana, Nipun Chinthaka Dharmawardana, Nuwan Jayasanka Dharmawardana respectively. Children are still engaged in studies. Mr. Sirisena Dharmawardana joined the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation in the year 1983 as an artist. He has sung duets with the popular artist Swarnalatha Kavishwara such as “NEWATHA KISIDA HAMUNOWANNEMU SIHINAYAKI APA PRARTHANA ”. He has sung solo the song of “NAYANA RANJANEE MATHRU DARANI NIMALA SIHALA BHOOMI”, by way of taping and awarding to S.L.B.C.. Later on while he obtained a pass at the 1989/90 Sinhalese Sarala Gee Competition, he gained the position of a “B” grade artist. While he has served as a Management Assistant in the Department of Health, he has retired in the year 2009 after serving in the Gampaha General Hospital.

Further he has composed children’s songs for the Expert Musician Mr. D.D.Danny of the S.L.B.C., D.C.Nawarathna son of the above musician has edited a Book of Children’s songs depicted as “WEWA OBA MAGE SUDU AYYA” debiting the above songs. The aforesaid book was introduced in the presence of several expert artists such as Nanda Malinee, Malkanthi Nandasiri, Rohana Siriwardena, etc, at the Kotte Janadipathy Vidyalaya on the Day of 06th October 2012.
